Would you rather understand something by viewing a video? You’re not alone. Thirty-six percent of developers told Evans Data in 2017 that they prefer YouTube for self-service support and training.
We’ve heard you. Over the last several months we’ve released a series of short videos explaining portions of the AnswerHub platform. All of the videos run between one and three minutes. You can work through the entire series in about 20 minutes.
The content is divided into 101 (basic) and 102 (intermediate) tutorials.
Who should watch the videos?
- Company leaders considering starting a community. The videos can help companies exploring a community understand features and functionality (at least for our platform).
- AnswerHub community managers. Learn more about what you can do with your platform. And embed these videos (or use the content as a template) to help your users understand how the developer community platform works.

Do you want to understand how you can organize content? Check out “Intro to Spaces” where you can watch a video tutorial on how to create spaces and build your permissions based on the different spaces.
“AnswerHub 102: Favoriting a Post” walks through how users can “like” questions, articles, or ideas submitted by other users, and how to find the content they’ve liked later.
Community features can reshape how you interact with external and internal developers. Gamification, for instance, helps Dynatrace reduce support tickets. “I don’t have to spend time looking for someone to answer each IT specialist’s question,” says Community Manager Karolina Linda. “The community has evolved to the point where someone – a Dynatrace employee or customer – will jump in and answer the question.’’
